73 Rams Head Replica
Description: This is a limited run pedal released on Oct 14th 2013 and available for a very short time exclusively over at AmericanGuitarBoutique.com The 73 Rams Head, built in Manhattan, NY, gets its name from the old EHX logo that was on the Big Muffs from this era. It's most famous user was David Gilmour who religiously used it with Pink Floyd and on his solo recordings. Solos like Comfortably Numb from The Wall and many more from that time on, including Animals, The Final Cut, Momentary Lapse Of Reason, Division Bell and so on. Overall the Rams Head has a bit less gain and a pronounced mid scoop. Our replica uses NPN 5089 Transistors as we found this most friendly with modern power supplies. If you love distortion and/or fuzz, you will find many uses for this extremely classic sound that can only be found in the Rams Head Big Muff.
